Scenic LAKE TROY DOUGLAS is formed by a state-of-the-art, 70-foot high, 1,500 foot-long dam. Careful engineering, planning, and years of hard work have combined to ensure the very best results. The dam construction, and lake bed preparation was completed in July of 2000, and within 2 years the lake was filled to capacity. The result is an 80 acre body of water that is both extraordinarily beautiful and ecologically sound. A set of Lake Rules has been carefully put together to help preserve the intended pristine nature of McLendon Hills.
