Lake Troy
Douglas

After several years of hard work, dam construction was completed in July of 2000. This state-of-the art dam is 70 feet high and over 1,500 feet long! Over 300,000 cubic yards of earth hold back the waters of several springs that form the headwaters of McLendon Creek to ensure the formation of a beautiful and pristine 80-acre lake. The impounding of water began August 2000 and the Lake is now at full capacity.

Lake Troy Douglas is exclusively for McLendon Hills homeowners and their guests. McLendon Hills worked with local biologist Dr. Jay Carter to develop a plan for stocking the lake with the best possible variety of fish. Since August 2000, the lake has been stocked three times. To provide the ultimate fishing experience, through detailed planning and management, Dr. Carter and his team of environmental consultants have ensured quality fishing and recreational enjoyment for years to come.
